      - Sharing Lessons Learned from the aggression against Ukraine

On 27 February 2026, the National Defence University of Ukraine (NDUU) had an online lecture for the Japan Joint Staff College (JJSC) and other organizations of the Japan Ministry of Defense.

This lecture was part of the NDUU’s ongoing effort to systematically share their practical lessons learned from the aggression against Ukraine with like-minded countries and others. The aggression against Ukraine has great impact not only for the Europe but also for the security environment of international community including Japan. The lessons learned are very beneficial for considering Japan’s security as well.

The JJSC will proactively unitize the lessons shared in this lecture for our research and study activities to strengthen joint operation structure and for student education.

Furthermore, this lecture will further deepen intellectual and educational cooperation between Japan and Ukraine as well as other like-minded countries and others, and served as an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of cooperation in upholding the rule of law and maintaining the international order.
