Lecture by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Japan

The Joint Staff College (JSC) invited Ambassador Korsunsky on Apirl 6, 2023. In his lecture, Ambassador mentioned the background leading to Russia's aggression from the political aspect and the strong posture of Ukrainian people who try to protect their own country after aggression. Ambassador emphasized that Ukraine has been supported by many countries in international society and this fight means to protect democracy in the world.

In addition, Defense Attaché, Colonel Bilenkyi explained about the current situation of the front line raging in the various locations of Ukraine from the operational aspect. He also referred to the Russia’s operational shift and the heavy fighting using the tank and drone technology by Armed Forces of Ukraine. He expressed his strong will that “we will win this war in the end.”

JSC students asked many questions and it became a good opportunity for them to think the meaning of protecting freedom and democracy and security environment surrounding Japan.

The JSC is continuously going to contribute to the development of human resources' aspect for the effort of the JMOD and the SDF which fully support Ukraine.
