4.@Q/NThe JSDF participated in the Pacific Partnership 2024 in Solomon Islands from November 19 to December 2 and in Palau from December 22 to 30. In Solomon Islands, the JSDF jointly conducted medical support for the Pacific Games and examination at hospitals with the U.S. and Australia; it also conducted joint medical care with the U.S. and the UK and joint music performance with the U.S. and Australia in Palau. The JSDF will continue to promote the strengthening of relations and cooperation with the Pacific Island Countries.On January 9, the 1st Japan-Kenya Military to Military (MM) Dialogue was held in Nairobi, Kenya. The Japa-nese delegation was led by Mr. MIURA, Director Gen-eral for International Affairs, Bureau of Defense Policy, and the Kenyan delegation was led by Major General Fredrick Leuria, Assistant Chief of Kenya Defence Forces in charge of Operations, Plans, Doctrine and Training.
