6.@Q/NFrom December 2 to 8, JS IKAZUCHI conducted a bilateral exercise with USS Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group which contributed to strengthening the deterrence and response capabilities of the Japan-U.S. Alliance. The JMSDF contributed to upholding and reinforcing a Free and Open Indo-Pa-cific and to maintaining and strengthening the rule-based international order.From November 8 to 15, the JMSDF conducted a multi-lateral exercise “MALABAR 2022” with the U.S. Navy, the Indian Navy, the Royal Australian Navy and the Royal Australian Air Force in South of Kanto on the occasion of International Fleet Review. The JMSDF improved interoperability with the partner navies through the tactical exercise including anti-submarine warfare exercise, anti-air warfare exercise, and replenishment at sea. Malabar has been held for 3 years in a row.
