3www.mod.go.jp/en/jdf/On January 12 (local time), Defense Minister Hamada held a ministerial meeting with U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin at the U.S. Department of Defense. The Minis-ters concurred that they would promptly implement the respective new National Secu-rity Strategy and National Defense Strategy and discussed concrete measures based on the “2+2” meeting.
