JMOD/JSDF continues to secure peace and stability and promote confidence-building and friendship with the participating navies.Western Pacific Naval SymposiumJMSDF hosted the 18th Western Pacific Naval Symposium (WPNS) on November 7 and 8. Admiral Sakai, Chief of Staff, JMSDF as the chair of the WPNS, exchanged opinions about maritime security issues with participants from 27 countries. On the first day of the symposium, State Minister of Defense Ino participated and expressed his gratitude to the Chiefs of Navies and other participants, and expressed his expecta-tions for a Free and Open Indo-Pacific and WPNS.
