From October 1 to 10, JS ASAHI conducted a bilateral exercise with the Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group with JGSDF in the vicinity of Japan including Japan Sea. Moreover, 1st Artillery Brigade and North Eastern Army Artillery Troop, JGSDF conducted a bilateral Anti-Surface Operation Exercise with the Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group on October 2 and 3. Through these exercise, JMSDF enhanced collaboration with the U.S. Navy and joint operational capabilities with JGSDF. Under the strong Japan-U.S. Alliance, JMOD/JSDF continues to strengthen the deterrence and response capabilities to any contingency.On September 30, JS ASAHI conducted a trilateral exercise with the Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group and the Republic of Korea Navy MUN MU DAEWANG in the Japan Sea.
