4%DB/NFrom September 12 to 26, the Indo-Pacific Deployment 2022 (IPD22) unit, JS KIRISAME, participated in a biennial multi-lateral maritime exercise KAKADU 2022 hosted by the Royal Australian Navy in the vicinity of Darwin. JMSDF conducted tactical training with various countries, with which we share fundamental values. JMOD/JSDF continues to uphold and reinforce a Free and Open Indo-Pacific.From October 3 to 14, JGSDF participated in the trilateral exercise KAMANDAG 22 with the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC), the U.S. Navy, and Philippines Marine Corps (PMC). During the exercise, HA/DR training and CBRN education were conducted. JGSDF trained how to use the life-saving kit with the PMC and also shared the know-how and the rudiments on CBRN with the USMC and the PMC. JMOD/JSDF enhanced mutual understanding among Japan, U.S., and the Philippines, and contributed to uphold-ing and reinforcing a Free and Open Indo-Pacific.+%'KAKADU22KAKADU22KAMANDAG 22KAMANDAG 22
