In order to uphold and reinforce a Free and Open Indo Pacific, JMOD/JSDF continues to deepen cooperation among the participating countries. In Pacific Dragon, Japan, U.S., and Republic of Korea conducted a tactical data link network connec-tion exercise. This is a “trilateral missile warning and ballistic missile search and tracking exercise” agreed on in the Trilateral Ministerial Meeting in June.From July 25 to August 3, JASDF and 24 other countries participated in Global Sentinel’s annual capstone event hosted by U.S. Space Command at Vandenberg Space Force Base. In this exercise, the participants engaged in training, information gathering, and opinion exchange on Space Situational Awareness (SSA) to deepen their knowledge on SSA and they reaffirmed the intention to strengthen cooperation among participating countries.
