5www.mod.go.jp/en/jdf/On July 17, JS Kashima and JS Shimakaze from Overseas Training Cruise 2022 conducted a goodwill exercise with the Colombian National Navy ARC Antioquia and ARC Caldas in the Caribbean Sea to promote mutual understanding. This is the first time for JMSDF to have exercise with the Colombia Navy.On August 5, JS Takanami from IPD22 unit conducted a good-will exercise with the Chilean Navy CNS Almirante Lynch in order to strengthen cooperation and to realize a Free and Open Indo-Pacific to improve JMSDF’s tactical capabilities and to promote mutual understanding with the Chilean Navy.On August 5, the IPD22 units, JS Izumo conducted a goodwill exercise with the Mexican Navy ARM Benito Juarez and ARM Usumacinta.
