24DO/NFrom June 21 to 22, Defense Minister Kishi visited Phnom Penh, Cambodia to attend the 7th ASEAN-Japan Defense Ministers’ Informal Meeting. This year’s meeting was held in-person for the first time in three years. Defense Minister Kishi delivered a speech under the theme of “Japan-ASEAN cooperation as we look forward to a post-COVID-19 era” and stated that Japan would strongly promote various initiatives under the Vientiane Vision 2.0.
