3From November 21 to 30, JMSDF conducted a biennial and largest scale JMSDF field training exercise with the U.S. Navy, the Royal Australian Navy, the Royal Canadian Navy, and the German Navy, which has been continued since JMSDF establishment. It was the first time for Germany to join. About 30 vessels conducted practical training and deepened cooperation among Japan, the U.S., Australia, Canada, and Germany.From September 15 to November 19, JGSDF conducted “JGSDF Exer-cise 2021.” This exercise was a large scale exercise in which all units in Japan were mobilized for the first time in about 30 years.
