They exchanged views on cooper-ation and agreed to promote it while continuing close communica-tion towards the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Japan and the UAE in 2022.The 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) took place in Glasgow from October 31 to November 13. Defense Minister Kishi talked on the topic of “climate change and security” in a video message to COP26. The JMOD/JSDF will enthusiastically engage in new areas including climate change!On October 26, JMOD conducted the 2nd Professional Airmanship Program (PAP) online, involving air force officers from all ASEAN member states. PAP is an initiative under the Vientiane Vision 2.0: the guiding principle for Japan-ASEAN defense cooperation.
