6+@M/NFrom October 6 to 8, JMSDF JS Kaga and JS Murasame, visiting the Indo-Pacific region as an the Indo-Pacific Deployment unit, conducted a maritime exercise with the Indian Navy vessels such as INS Kochi and INS Teg in the western waters and airspace of India. This exercise showed the robust cooperation and unity among Japan and India for upholding and reinforcing a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific.” The JMOD/JSDF will further contribute to peace and stability of the region with India, sharing fundamental values such as democracy and the rule of law and strategic interests.From October 24 to 26, JMSDF JS Shiranui of the Indo Pacific Deployment unit called at Hai Phong Port, and conducted a goodwill exercise with Vietnam People’s Navy’s patrol boat on October 26. From November 5 to 7, JMSDF JS Kaga and JS Murasame of the Indo Pacific Deployment unit called at Cam Ranh, and conducted a goodwill exercise with Vietnam People’s Navy’s on November 7.
