Note : The plots on the map are for reference.5www.mod.go.jp/en/jdf/Six Nations Multilateral Exercise with Three Aircraft CarriersOn October 2 and 3, JMSDF JS Ise, JS Kirishima and JS Yamagiri conducted 6 nations multilateral exercise with vessels such as the U.S. Navy USS Carl Vinson, USS Ronald Reagan, the Royal Navy HMS Queen Elizabeth of CSG21 the Royal Netherlands Navy, the Royal Cana-dian Navy and the Royal New Zealand Navy in the waters and airspace around southwestern part of Okina-wa. This training showed our irreversible bond to uphold and reinforce a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” with these nations, with whom we share fundamental values and strategic interests.Six Nations Multilateral Exercise in the South China SeaFrom October 4 to 9, JMSDF JS Shiranui of the Indo-Pacific Deploy-ment unit conducted 6 nations multi-lateral exercise with vessels such as the Royal Navy HMS Queen Eliza-beth of CSG21 the U.S. Navy USS The Sullivans, the Royal Nether-lands Navy, the Royal Canadian Navy and the Royal New Zealand Navy in the South China Sea. The JMOD/ JSDF advances initiatives to uphold and reinforce a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” through training and exercises with these nations, with whom we share fundamental values and strategic interests.Japan-U.S. Bilateral Exercise in the South China SeaFrom October 29 to November 4, JMSDF JS Kaga and JS Murasame conducted a bilateral exercise with the U.S. Navy USS Carl Vinson in the South China in order to bolster Japan-U.S. Alliance capabilities to deter and respond. The JMOD/JSDF and the U.S. Forces strengthen interoperability, resilience and readiness through conducting bilateral and multilateral exercises both inside and outside of Japan. The JMOD/JSDF will continue to conduct exercises to bolster Japan-U.S. Alliance capabilities to deter and respond, and show our united action.Carriers of the U.S. Navy and the Royal Navy
