7JMOD/JSDF dispatched 9 JGSDF personnel to support Mongo-lian army engineers build their skills for future PKO activities. On September 3, an opening ceremony for our surveying and road construction project was held. On September 14, a closing ceremony was held for a JGSDF-led surveying and road construction training activity. We will keep leveraging our respective experience and knowledge to advance Japan-Mongo-lia cooperation.JMOD/JSDF has been providing military band training project with the Papua New Guinea Defence Force (PNGDF) Military Band since 2015. On September 10, JMOD dispatched JGSDF Central Band members to resume its training. JGSDF Central Band’s instructors provided training of individual musical performance, ensemble, and musical instrument maintenance to the band members. On September 29, the Japan-PNG Association donated uniforms to the PNGDF band and a handover ceremony took place. The band showcased the results of their training by performing in the new uniforms at the event in front of an audience including the JGSDF Central Band instructors.
