6/NU/NFrom August 23 to September 10, JMSDF, the U.S. Navy, Indian Navy and Australian Navy conducted Malabar 2021 in the waters and airspace of Guam and Philippine Sea. Collaboration of Japan, India, the U.S and Australia, who share fundamental values, is essential for upholding and reinforcing the "Free and Open Indo-Pacific". The same 4 nations as last year conducted Malabar 2021 with JMSDF Special Boarding Unit joining Malabar for the first time. In addition, naval vessels including JS Kaga, JS Murasame, JS Shiranui, USS Barry, USS Big Horn, USS Yukon, INS Shivalik, INS Kadmatt, HMAS Warramunga and airplanes joined the exercise.+%'Defense Minister Kishi received a courtesy call from H.E.
