Implementation of the Mongolia Capacity Building Assistance Program

In FY2014, the Ministry of Defense/Self-Defense Forces (MOD/SDF) began the implementation of a three-year civil engineering capacity building assistance program that intends to improve the Mongolian forces' capabilities in the field of peacekeeping operations (PKO) and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HA/DR). In its final year, the program will be implemented as follows:

1. Project content:
Road building education contributing to the improvement capabilities in the fields of PKO and HA/DR

2. Recipient:
Mongolian Military Engineering Unit

3. Program implementation period:
August 1 to September 9, 2016

4. Location:
Tov Province (Mongolia)

5. Dispatched personnel:
20 personnel (one official from the MOD Internal Bureau and 19 personnel from the Ground SDF Engineer School)
