昭和２７年４月２６日海上自衛隊の前身である海上警備隊が、その司令部が設置された横須賀市田浦の地で創設されました。また、自衛隊は、多様な任務を遂行するため専門知識や技量といった術科が必要となりますが、戦後、その術科を最初に教育したのもこの田浦の地でした。
The Maritime Safety Agency Coastal (JMSDF’s predecessor) was established
on April 26, 1952 in Taura, Yokosuka. The JMSDF requires professional knowledge
and skills to carry out a wide range of duties, but it is here that they
were first taught.
現在、術科の種類に応じ専門教育を実施する学校が各地にあり第２術科学校は、 横須賀において、 機関術科、情報、技術、外国語等を担当しています。
The Second Service School (2MSS) is one of four main training institutions
of the JMSDF nationwide, and consists of sections (faculties) such as marine
engineering, intelligence, general engineering and foreign languages.
