JAPAN-Sri Lanka Fleet Commanders meeting in MILAN2024.

Commander in Chief, Self Defense Fleet, VADM SAITO Akira, had a meeting with RADM M. H. C. J. Silva, Commander of the Sri Lankan Naval Fleet, who is also participating in MILAN2024. Both commanders confirmed that they will further strengthen defense cooperation between the Sri Lanka Navy and the JMSDF through goodwill visits and exercise, and the Ship-rider program, with the aim of realizing a "Free and Open Indo-Pacific".
