JAPAN-Indian Fleet Commanders meeting in MILAN2024.

Commander in Chief, Self Defense Fleet, VADM SAITO Akira, paid a courtesy call to and talked with the Chief of Naval Staff of India, ADM R Hari Kumar, who hosted the multilateral exercise MILAN2024. VADM SAITO expressed his gratitude on behalf of the JMSDF for the invitation to this exercise. Both admirals confirmed that they will further strengthen the strong collaborative relationship that has been established between the JMSDF and the Indian Navy in order to jointly promote Japan's Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP) and India's Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative (IPOI).
