JS TOWADA conducted a bilateral exercise with the Indian Navy.

On November 28, JS TOWADA conducted a bilateral exercise with the Indian Navy, INS KADMATT in the vicinity of Okinawa to enhance its tactical capabilities and strengthen cooperation with the Indian Navy.
The Commanding officer of JS TOWADA, Commander OYAMA Seiji said, “The weather was nice, so we conducted the exercise smoothly. We reconfirmed our strong partnership with the Indian Navy and its importance through the communication with the crew of INS KADMATT. We will continue working hard to make our partnership stronger and to achieve our common goal of realizing a Free and Open Indo-Pacific.”
The Self-Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a Free and Open Indo-Pacific in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
