JS IKAZUCHI made a port call at Mumbai, India.

From November 21 to 23, JS IKAZUCHI made a port call at Mumbai, Republic of India.
The Commanding Officer of JS IKAZUCHI, Commander TANAKA Hiroaki said, “During the port call, we visited Rear Admiral Kunal Singh Rajkumar, Chief of Naval Operations of Western Naval Command in the Indian Navy, and Dr. FUKAHORI Yasukata, Consul-General of Japan in Mumbai, and INS KOLKATA, a host ship of JS IKAZUCHI, and had a conversation with Captain Ajay Chowdhry, an officer in charge of international relations of the Indian Navy in an effort to deepen mutual understanding and friendship with the Indian Navy.”
The Self-Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a "Free and Open Indo-Pacific" in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
