JS ISE conducted a takeoff/landing drill with Japan Ground Self-Defense Force V-22 Osprey.

On September 5, JS ISE conducted a takeoff/landing drill around Izu Islands with V-22 Osprey belonging to Japan Ground Self-Defense Force 1st Helicopter Brigade.
The Commanding Officer of JS ISE, Captain KANEKO Junichi said, “JS ISE conducted a takeoff/landing drill with V-22 Osprey for the first time, which improved our JMSDF-JGSDF cooperative operational capabilities. THE JMSDF is striving to enhance its operational capabilities in order to respond immediately to any contingency.”
The Self-Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region and the international community in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies, not only for the defense of Japan, but also for the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” and a security environment that does not tolerate any unilateral attempts to change the status quo by force.
