EP-3 and OP-3C from Fleet Air Wing 31 conducted a bilateral exercise with U.S. Navy EA-18G.

During 8 to 10 May, EP-3 and OP-3C from Fleet Air Wing 31 conducted a bilateral exercise with U.S. Navy EA-18G at Misawa Air Base and Off Sanriku.
In the exercise, they practiced information exchanging relating to Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare between the Japanese and U.S. aircrafts to enhance JMSDF’s tactical capabilities and interoperability with the U.S. Navy.
The Self-Defense Fleet maintains readiness and strong deterrence based on the Japan-U.S. alliance for the defense of Japan and contributes to peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region to realize a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
