Commander in Chief, Self-Defense Fleet presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Col John Lehane, Director, Maritime Operations Center, U.S. SEVENTH Fleet.

On April 24, Commander in chief, Self-Defense Fleet, Vice Admiral SAITO Akira, presented a certificate of appreciation to Colonel John Lehane, Director, Maritime Operations Center, U.S. SEVENTH Fleet.
Since his appointment in June 2019, Colonel John Lehane has made significant contributions to enhancing the interoperability between the JMSDF Self Defense Fleet and the U.S. SEVENTH Fleet with a strong sense of responsibility, wealth of experience and insight, and forward-thinking mindset.
The Self-Defense Fleet works closely with the U.S. SEVENTH Fleet on a regular basis to contribute to peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region for the defense of our nation and the realization of a "Free and Open Indo-Pacific."
