JS MURASAME conducted a Japan-U.S. bilateral exercise.

On April 21, JS MURASAME conducted a Japan-U.S. bilateral exercise with U.S. Army Aviation Battalion Japan UH-60L helicopter in the SAGAMI bay and has improved its tactical capabilities and interoperability with the U.S. forces.
Each subordinate force of the Command in Chief, Self Defense Fleet works closely together with its counterpart of the U.S. forces to strengthen the deterrence and response capabilities under the Japan-U.S. Alliance and promote a free and open maritime rules-based order.
The Self-Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a "Free and Open Indo-Pacific" in cooperation with allied and friendly forces.
