JS KIRISAME conducted a good will exercise with Vanuatu Police Force Maritime Wing

On August 10, the Indo-Pacific Deployment 2022 (IPD22) unit, JS KIRISAME conducted a good will exercise with the Vanuatu Police Force Maritime Wing Operation Center in vicinity of Vanuatu to improve its tactical capabilities and promote mutual understanding with the Vanuatu Police Maritime Force.
JS KIRISAME called at the Port Vila, Republic of Vanuatu, from August 11 to 13, and conducted various goodwill exchange events, including a visit by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs Mr. Alatoi Ismael Kalsakau and the Cabinet members to deepen friendly relations between Japan and the Vanuatu.
The Self-Defense Fleet maintains readiness, contributing to the defense of Japan and the maintenance to maritime order based on law, as well as stability in the Indo-Pacific region with friendly Navy.
