JS AKIZUKI conducted joint training with USS Benfold and HMAS Brisbane

October 25, JS AKIZUKI, which is on its way back to Japan after completing intelligence-gathering activities in the Middle East, conducted joint training with USS Benfold and HMAS Brisbane in the waters around Okinawa.
The Commanding Officer of JS AKIZUKI, CDR NAKAZAWA Noriya stated, “Through more practical training, we enhance our tactical skills and cooperation between the JMSDF, the U.S. Navy and the Australian Navy. And we promote cooperative relationship of Japan-U.S.-Australia naval forces in order to realize a Free and Open Indo-Pacific.”
The Self-Defense Fleet remains responsive and integrates with allied and friendly navies, safeguards the peace and security of Japan, and contributes to support stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
