JS YUGIRI conducted joint training with Spanish Navy in EUNAVFOR

October 16, JS YUGIRI as the 39th Deployment Surface Force for Counter piracy Enforcement, conducted joint training with SPS Victoria in the Gulf of Aden.
The Commanding Officer of JS YUGIRI, CDR KUMASIRO Takeshi, stated, “I feel honored to have been able to work with the Spanish Navy, a group of people who share the same aspiration of realizing a Free and Open Indo-Pacific. Through this training, we improved our tactical skills, mutual understanding and friendship with the Spanish Navy and EUNAVFOR.”
Despite COVID-19, The Self-Defense Fleet remains responsive and deepen the cooperative relationship with the Spanish Navy, in order to realize a Free and Open Indo-Pacific, safeguards the peace and security of Japan, and contributes to support stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
