海軍大尉 フィリップ エドワード ゴデマン
LT Philip E. Godemann, born April 25th, 1980, graduated from New Hartford High School, New Hartford, NY in June 1998 and attended college at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. In May 2002 he received a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering, and in December 2002 reported to Officer Candidate School at Naval Air Station Pensacola, FL, where he graduated with honors and was commissioned an Ensign in March 2003. He completed flight training at NAS Pensacola and was designated a Naval Flight Officer in July 2004.
LT Godemann reported to Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 129 at NAS Whidbey Island, WA for initial training as an Electronic Counter Measures Officer (ECMO) in the EA-6B Prowler, and upon completion in November 2005 he reported to VAQ-136 at Naval Air Facility, Atsugi, Japan. There he served as the Avionics and Armament Division Officer and deployed with the squadron aboard the aircraft carriers USS Kitty Hawk and USS George Washington to participate in various bilateral and multilateral naval exercises with the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF), as well as the Australian, Canadian, Singaporean, and Indian Navies.
In the fall of 2008 LT Godemann completed the Prowler Tactics Instructor (PTI) course, and in February 2009 reported aboard the Electronic Attack Weapons School at NAS Whidbey Island, WA. There he taught proper use of the Prowler’s weapon systems and effective teamwork to Prowler squadrons preparing for deployment, and the Prowler Tactics Instructor course.
In January 2010 LT Godemann was selected for the Personnel Exchange Program (PEP) with the JMSDF at the Maritime Officer Candidate School (MOCS) in Eta Jima, Japan, and he reported for Japanese language instruction at the Defense Language Institute, Monterey, CA in February 2010. He received an Associate of Arts in Japanese Studies in June 2011.
LT Godemann reported for duty as English Language / Cultural Instructor at MOCS in August 2011.
He is married to the former Elyse Anne McKenna of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
ゴデマン大尉は１９８０年４月２５日に生まれ、ニューヨーク州の高校を卒業後、カーネル大学で機械工学の学士を取得しました。同年１２月、フロリダ州ペンサコラ市の海軍航空基地幹部候補生学校に入校、２００３年３月優等成績で卒業し、少尉に任命されました。２００４年７月にはペンサコラ海軍航空基地で飛行訓練を終了、ナビゲーターに補職されました。
その後は、ＥＡ−６Ｂプラウラー基礎訓練として第１２９電子攻撃飛行隊（ＶＡＱ−１２９）へ、２００５年１１月には日本の厚木基地第１３６電子攻撃飛行隊に配属、航空電子装置や武装化に携わる分隊長として勤務しました。同部隊ではキティホークやジョージワシントンといった米海軍空母に配置され、海上自衛隊やオーストラリア、カナダ、シンガポール、インドなど様々な国の海軍との多国間軍事演習に参加しました。
２００８年にはプラウラー戦術教官コースを卒業し、２００９年２月からワシントン州ウィドビーアイランド海軍航空基地電子攻撃武器学校に教官として配置されました。プラウラー武器システムの使用法や効果的チームワークについて教育し、プラウラー戦術教官コース学生に対しても、詳細な武器システム情報や効果的教育方法について教育しました。
２０１０年１月からは、国防総省外国語学校で日本語や日本に関することを学び、２０１１年６月準学士を取得、８月に海上自衛隊幹部候補生学校米海軍連絡士官として着任しました。彼はカナダのバンクーバー出身のエリス・アン・ゴデマンと結婚しています。
