●Basic training after entering service
The basic training after entering service is relatively long; 3 to 5 months for new recruits and 5 to 12 months for officer candidates.

●Continuing training
After assignment to a unit, members participate in systematic training in stages throughout their full term of duty.

●Training to improve qualifications and acquire knowledge and skills. We conduct training to foster the qualifications required for the fulfillment of duties and the mastery knowledge and skills.

●Diversified education
With the cooperation of educational institutions and corporations, we conduct training to inculcate a broad outlook in our members and to provide specialized knowledge or knowledge unobtainable in the Self-Defense Force.
