Indo-Pacific Deployment 2022(IPD22)
The JMSDF starts Indo-Pacific Deployment 2022 (IPD22) in order to realize a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” as described below.
About Indo-Pacific Deployment 2022
1.Objectives
(1) To improve JMSDF tactical capabilities and to strengthen cooperation with partner navies in the Indo-Pacific region through conducting joint exercises
(2) To contribute to the peace and stability of the region and to enhance mutual understanding and relationship with partner countries through the deployment

6. Notes
(1) During this deployment, the JGSDF will participate in some of the exercise.
(2) Preventive measures against COVID-19 are implemented during the exercise.
