Message from JPC Director

Colonel WATANABE Kuniyoshi, Director of the Japan Peacekeeping Training and Research Center (JPC)
　Since the enactment of the International Peace Cooperation Law in 1992, Japan has deployed peacekeepers including Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) members to various regions around the world for international peace cooperation.
　The Japan Peacekeeping Training and Research Center (JPC) has been playing an important role of support to training, research and development on international peace and security since 2010. The JPC provides training for JSDF members, personnel from other ministries and agencies, worldwide peacekeepers. The JPC studies the latest international environment on peace worldwide and develops training programs and materials to fulfil updated peacekeeping operations under the changing global environment.
　Additionally, we are actively engaged in defense education and exchange through participation in international peace cooperation related meetings and reciprocal visits to other countries.
