◆ロイヤル・エディンバラ・ミリタリー・タトゥー２０１７◆

　平成２９年８月４日（金）から２６日（土）までの間、陸上自衛隊中央音楽隊は、スコットランドで行われた世界最大規模の軍楽祭である「エディンバラ軍楽祭」に自衛隊音楽隊として初めて参加しました。参加国は、陸上自衛隊中央音楽隊のほか、英国海兵隊軍楽隊、英国空軍軍楽隊、英国スコットランド連隊軍楽隊、合同バグパイプ隊、アメリカ海軍欧州軍楽隊、モナコ公国王子音楽隊、フランス軍楽隊、インド海軍軍楽隊等（計６カ国２６団体）また、全出演者からの投票によって選ばれる「最優秀出演団体賞」を受賞しました。
From 4th to 26th of August 2017, The JGSDF Central Band participated in The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo which is the world’s biggest Military Tattoo held in Scotland for the first time. 26 contingents from 6 nations include The JGSDF Central Band, The Royal Marines Bands, The Royal Air Force Regiment Band, The Band of Royal Regiment of Scotland, Massed Pipes and Drums, United States Naval Forces Europe Band, Orchestre des Carabiniers du Prince au Monaco, The Fanfare Band of the 9th French Marine Infantry Brigade, The Indian Naval Band, and some other specialists.
 Also the band was awarded the honour of the Pooley Broadsword, nominated by all of 1200 performers, as the best performance group which made the most notable contribution to this year’s Tattoo.
