Japan-Canada Joint Training KAEDEX

From November 24th to 27th, the JMSDF conducted joint training exercises KAEDEX 2018 with the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) at Sasebo Port and waters west of Kyushu.

DD Kirisame from the JMSDF, the frigate HMCS Calgary and the supply ship MV Asterix from the RCN joined the trainings such as anti-submarine to increase the JMSDF’s tactical skill and strengthen relations with the RCN.

The MOD has been strengthening its relation with Canada, which is a Pacific nation sharing fundamental values with Japan, through such training to maintain peace and stability of Japan and the region.
