Cope North Guam
- Japan-U.S.-Australia Joint Exercise in Guam -
The ASDF took part in the trilateral combat training as well as Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HA/DR) exercise together with the U.S. Air Force (USAF) and the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) from January 27th to March 12th at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam.

  • Minister Nakatani inspected the MSDF’s naval mine warfare exercise involving 22 minesweepers and two minesweeping and transport helicopters in Ise Bay.
  • Defense Minister Nakatani’s Telephone Call with Australian Minister for Defence
    (12 Feb.)
  • Minister Nakatani had a telephone call with Australian Minister for Defence Kevin Andrews. It was the first conversation between the two leaders. The Ministers agreed to continue to closely work together to deepen the bilateral defense cooperation.
