Golan Heights PKO

Since February 1996 Japan has dispatched a total of about 1,000 Self-Defense Force personnel to the Golan Heights to provide logistic support to the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force(UNDOF)

Political Mission in Nepal

United Nations political mission in Nepal was established in January 2007. Japan dispatched six Self-Defense Forces personnel for monitoring and five including two officials for liaison, support, etc. in March 2007 for the United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN).

• Dispatch of SDF personnel to Sudan based on the International Peace Cooperation Law (October 3, 2008)

Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) Disaster Relief Operations Republic of Haiti January 2010 Earthquake（February10,2010）

Indonesia

International disaster relief units were dispatched to help victims of the large-scale earthquake off Sumatra Island from January to March 2005, and also to help victims of the central Java Island earthquake from May to June 2006.

Pakistan

International disaster relief units were dispatched to help victims of the large-scale Pakistan etc. earthquake from October to December 2005.

Airlift Service

The JGSDF conducted reconstruction activities in Samawah, Iraq for about two and a half years, from February 2004 to July 2006. The JASDF has also been providing airlift services for the reconstruction of Iraq since March 2004.

Replenishment Operations (Achievements of JSDF Activities)

Japan was engaged in cooperation and support activities for six years since the enforcement of the Anti-Terrorism Special Measures Law, including dispatching supply vessels to the Indian Ocean to refuel vessels of other countries undertaking Maritime Interdiction Operations. The Law expired on November 1, and these operations were suspended.
