Continuing on from last year, members of the Japan Self-Defense Force Engineering School and Ground Staff Office again join the capacity building assistance project, Exercise Harii Hamutuk, in Timor-Leste. This Australia-led exercise seeks to enhance the capability of the Timor-Leste Defense Force through engineering projects and has been occurring since 2014. Harii Hamutuk, which means 'Building Together' in Tetum, the national language of Timor-Leste, brought together approximately 110 personnel from Japan, America, Australia and Timor-Leste who combined their strength and efforts in building and construction work.
